Donald Gene Perdue, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Manassas, Virginia on January 3, 2018.

Don was born August 3, 1938 in Grundy, Virginia and was the son of the late Cora and Charles Perdue. On December 23, 1959 he married Corena Matney of Patterson, Virginia. They were married for 16 years until her death on September 26, 1976.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Irma Perdue of Manassas, Virginia, son Bryan Perdue and wife Michelle of Leesburg, Virginia, son Rodney Perdue and wife Debbie of Jacksonville, Florida, daughter Donna Sue Kachmarchi and husband Jeff of Sellersville, Pennsylvania, daughter Katherine Perdue of Manassas, Virginia, sister Charlotte Rowe of Manassas Park, Virginia, and sister Peggy Charles and husband Willy of Oakwood, Virginia. Don grew up in Oakwood, Virginia and was a meat cutter for the Fort Belvoir commissary until his retirement. Don also worked part-time as a cashier for Grand Union grocery store and for a number of years worked both full-time and part-time jobs to provide for his family. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins, country and bluegrass music, and enjoyed working tirelessly in his garden.
