Katherine Marie Hamilton
Katherine “Kathy” Marie Hamilton, 59, passed away peacefully at her home in Manassas, Virginia, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Kathy grew up in Arlington, Virginia, and moved to Austin, Texas, for a number of years, before returning to Virginia to make Manassas her home. She had a profound love for the beach, spending all the time she could unwinding at her cottage in Rehoboth Bay, Delaware. Kathy was a beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend, she will be missed tremendously.

Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Hurley, her mother, Frances Hurley Hobbs, her stepfather Donald Hobbs and her sister, Mary Ellen Tasker. She is survived by her husband, Paul Hamilton, and three children; Daniel Hamilton and wife Julia Hamilton, of Gainesville, Virginia, Julie Hamilton and fiancé Eric Chess of Manassas, Virginia, and Timothy Hamilton of Richmond, Virginia, as well as her cherished grandson Wesley Hamilton. She is also survived by three sisters, Barbara Morales, Jennifer Hamilton and Stephanie Ogle, her two brothers, Tracy Hobbs and Geoffrey Hobbs, and many, many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec 16, 2017 at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held for close friends and family at the home of her son Daniel in Gainesville. Interment to be held privately on a later date at Stonewall Gardens, Manassas, Virginia.
