Condolence: I sincerely offer my most heartfelt condolences. I served with Don in Cape May, NJ 1988. I talked to him earlier this year. He was a mentor and a great shipmate. Thank you for posting in the Chief’s magazine. His wife and sons are not his only legacy, he touched many lives and will be greatly missed. God Bless the Golaszewski family.

Condolence: Our friendship was way too short. We were able to overcome distance and time to keep it alive. As time went by, life complicated our schedules but the short telephone calls and the occasional Saturday afternoon luncheon keep our friendship active.

Now the time has come for you to blaze the trail for the rest of us and I truly look forward to our next meeting in heaven.

Condolence: “ I am so very sorry to hear of Don's passing! He and I were in the same carpool together and he shared many funny stories about his sons, especially about the bearded dragons since I have several, as well. As I left DoDEA about a year ago, I didn't see Don but I spoke with him several months ago and he never said anything about being sick. My prayers go out to you and your family and surround you with peace and strength to handle everything that comes your way. ”
