Hildegarde N. Perry, a former resident of Linden, NJ, Wilmington, DE, Parkersburg, WV and Ocala, FL passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017.

Hilda loved her family, she loved her neighbors and she loved nature. She was an extremely talented gardener, flower arranger, quilter, sewer, organizer and she took the word “thrifty” to an extreme level. Hilda was recycling, D.Y.I.-ing and repurposing items before it was ever vogue. Her thriftiness was not just something she did on a whim, it was a lifestyle of which she was proud. If only she had written a book before Heloise wrote her first book on helpful hints, she would have made a fortune.

Hilda was predeceased by her loving husband, Rev. Joseph L. Perry, Jr. (Jib).

Hilda is survived by her 6 children; Philip Perry and wife Theresa of Reading, PA, Gregory Perry and wife, Connie, of Atlanta , GA., Jill Moore and husband, Steve, of Richmond, VA, David Perry of Kent Island, MD., Sue Knisely and husband Tony, of Wilmington, DE., and Gretchen Barnette and husband Eddie of Dumfries, VA. Hilda is also survived by her 11 grandchildren; Megan Perry, Joseph (Bart) Perry, Roger Perry, Natalie Perry, Becca Moore, Zach Moore, Adeline Perry, Ben Knisely, Nate Knisely, Jessica Barnette, Emily Barnette and 7 great grandchildren.
