Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mark Stenerson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Melodie Virtue

I met Mark in September 1980, married him on October 27, 1984 in Pacific Grove, CA, and divorced him July 15, 2016, when we were living in Arlington (Rosslyn), VA. He is survived by his younger brother, Dave Stenerson, who lives in California with his wife Wendi. I was with Mark for 35+ years. He easily met people and had some strong friendships for many years. Some of those friendships ended later in Mark's life for reasons of Mark's personal struggles, but they will still mourn for him and what he once meant to them. If you are in Arlington, and wish to pay your respects, you can find where we placed his ashes at the base of a tree on the Palisades Trail in Fort Bennett Park at a clearing where the Bay Eva Castle once stood. The site overlooks the Potomac River, Georgetown, and nesting eagles. We left some small white stones with messages on them where we placed his ashes. The site was one of the spots Mark liked to walk our dog Dickens. A park bench is there. You can find the trailhead at the back of the playground at the Dawson Terrace Community Center at 2133 N. Taft St. Arlington, VA. Rest in peace. YLW
