Obituary for Jennie Louise Buckley

Jennie Louise Buckley
Jennie Louise Buckley, 85, took God's hand on Sunday, November 6, 2016. She was surrounded by her family.

Louise was the daughter of the late Bertha and Herschell Blevins.

Survivors include her sons; Thomas Goolsby and Doug Hayes; daughter-in-law Janet Goolsby; grandchildren Trisha Goolsby, Thomas Goolsby, Kyle Hayes, Cody Hayes and wife Emily; and siblings Herschell Jr., Grace and Mabel.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death and will be reuniting in heaven with her husband, Leo C. Buckley, her daughter, Charlotte and her siblings, Ralph, Ruby, Melvin, Luvinia, Marie, and Frances.

Louise worked at Merrifield Garden Center, where she shared her love for flowers and gardening. She had a second job as a caretaker, where she spread her kindness and caring for others. Louise was an active member of the Moose Lodge and loved inviting her friends and family to join her for Friday night dinners at the Moose Lodge.

"Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear." We may no longer have her physical body with us here but we will always carry in our hearts the wonderful person she was and all the memories she left us with. She has filled our hearts with her positive energy, contagious smile, and selfless nature. We will continue to carry on her nature of caring for others, never giving up, and living life to the fullest. She will be truly missed.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment is private and will take place at a later date.
