Helen H.  Johnson
She was born to the late Richard G. and Anna H. Tross Scott, in Owego, New York. She is predeceased by her parents, thirteen siblings and a daughter and son-in-law Sandra (Samuel) Walker.

Helen is survived by a daughter, Kathlyn (Eugene) Sharpe, of Bristow, VA; three grandchildren: Stacey (Samson) Williams-Murenga of Baltimore, MD; Sean (Casaundra) Williams and Scott Walker, both of Saginaw, MI; several great-grandchildren, a nephew, great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

As a child, her family moved to New Jersey, where she attended and graduated from the Neptune Township School system. Helen moved to Candor in the early 1960’s and began attending the Candor Congregational Church where she was a member for over 50 years.
She was a Sunday school teacher for many years, and served on several boards and committees including the Women’s Fellowship. Helen loved to sing and was a member of the church choir. She also sang with other churches and community organizations in the area. She was a member of the Candor American Legion Auxiliary Unit 907 for 44 years.

An acknowledgement of her life will be included in the Fall Festival Hymn Sing at the Candor Congregational Church on October 9, 2016.
