Obituary for William J. Brown
William James Brown, 86, passed away on Monday April 18, 2016.
William was born on was born September 19, 1929 and a resident of Manassas, Virginia. He was a devoted Christian whose priority was being a husband, father and grandfather. William studied at airline school and he served during the Korean War.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie and William J. Brown, Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lilah Brown; children; David Brown of VA, Steven Brown of AZ, Donald Brown of VA, Kathleen Wimbish of VA, Lori Castle of VA and Tracey Wilkinson of VA ; his daughter-in-law Janet Brown and his son-in-laws, Jeff Wimbish, Tim Castle and Robert Wilkinson. Also surviving him are 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Baker-Post Funeral Home, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Billy F. Ross officiating.
Interment will immediately follow the service at 2:00 p.m. at Quantico National Cemetery with military honors.
A celebration of William’s life will follow in Manassas, VA 20110.
