Bobby Delaine  Ford
Bobby D. Ford, resident of Manassas for 49 years, crossed over into God’s hands, November 14, 2015. Bobby was born on August 17, 1938 in Dumas, Mississippi to Troy and Vera Ford.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Maureen Ford. Bobby also is survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchild. His children: Curtis Ford and wife Andrea, Michael Ford and his wife Louise, Donna Garzione and her husband Thomas, and Judy Almond and her husband Kevin, grandchildren: Gina Garzione and her fiancé Russell, Shaneé Howell and her husband Grandin, Ryan Ford, Amanda Brindle and her husband Trey, Samantha Garzione, Sierra Ford, Sarah Ford, Trevor Almond, Sabrina Garzione, Thomas Garzione, Rebecca Ford, Michael Ford, Griffin Ford, Francisco Garzione and great grandson Hartley Howell.

The legacy of Bobby Ford is engraved in both his family and his community. He served in the United States Air Force then continued his community service at All Saints Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, George Brent Council. Bobby believed in the positive life lessons that organized sports provide for youth so he founded the Prince William Youth Basketball League. He also served many years on the board for the Greater Manassas Baseball League and the Manassas Park Softball League. Bobby was instrumental in starting the Church Softball league in Prince William County; he couldn’t let the kids to have all the fun! He was inducted into the Prince William Softball Hall of Fame in 2005.

Ecclesiastes 3:12 says “there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.” Bobby Ford did good!

Our family will sorely miss our patriarch but have much peace in knowing the legacy he left.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 20, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, Virginia.

Interment will be private at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Virginia.
