Obituary for Michael Lee Brummett Jr.
Michael Lee Brummett, Jr., 45, of Chantilly, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at his home with his wife by his side.
Mike was born July 2, 1970 in Manassas, VA.
He is survived by his loving wife Wendy and daughters Katlyn Marie “KK”, Alexis Michelle “Lexi”, and Jaycee Renae “J”, his mother Donna Blackwell and husband Roger of Nokesville; brother William Brummett and wife Erin of Warrenton; uncle George Sowers and wife Alicia of Manassas Park; uncle Robert Sowers and wife Mary of Manassas; mother-in-law Wilma Leonard of Madison; sister-in-law Belinda Gray of Manassas; sister-in-law Valerie Green and husband Troy of Colonial Beach; nieces and nephews, Emily, Carly, William, Jenna, Ashley, John Michael, David, Christina and Kimberly; great nephew and niece, George and Jessica and great great niece, Ava.
Mike loves his family and coaching his daughters in softball. His partner in life Wendy was also his partner in coaching. You never saw one without the other. He spent all his free time with Wendy and his girls.
Mike was also an accomplished moto-cross racer, a passion he shared with “KK”. Wendy and Lexi were the pit crew.
Mike was preceded in death by his grand-parents Marion “Red” Sowers, Helen “Pat” Sowers and Aunt Mary Ellen Sowers
The family will receive friends Monday, September 28, 2015 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Baker-Post Funeral Home, Lee Chapel, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109. A service will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
