Obituary for Nicole C. Toussaint

Nicole C. Toussaint
Nicole Carolyn Toussaint was born Oct 4th 1969 to McIllwayne Toussaint and Lucita Herbert at Port of Spain General Hospital in Trinidad. She was one of four sisters: Joanie, Donna, and Paula. Nicole grew up in Farrell Lane Belmont, where she attended Belmont girls Roman Catholic School (RC) and St. François Girls College.

Nicole migrated to the U.S in the 1980s and lived in NYC where she attended Medgar Evers University. She met and fell in love with her husband Russell Price Jr in New York. They later moved together with their three children to Virginia. Where Nicole raised her family and continued her education at Northern Virginia Community College.

Nicole was full of life. She loved her family and friends and would always be found with a huge, welcoming smile. Her passion for cooking is well known and she ran her own catering business called Mama Touss. She shared her culinary gifts at many Caribbean Carnival Festivals from Baltimore to Labor Day in NY, selling her delicious meals. Nicole (affectionately called Touss by many of her friends) is described by family and friends as loving, kind, thoughtful, forgiving, and a peace maker, but most of all a wonderful wife and mother. At the time of her illness she was looking forward to Labor Day in September and returning to school in the Fall but she succumbed to complications from her long battle with kidney disease and left us on Sunday morning September 20th at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Nicole was loved by all who knew her she will be missed by her husband Russel Price Jr, her children Nichele, Zuri and Eze, her uncle Roderick, cousin Heston, her sisters, and many family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, 2015, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA. A Celebration of Life will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be private and at a later date.
