Dearest Joan and family, Our deepest sympathy goes to all of you at this time. Roy was such a special person, not only was he a terrific husband, father, grandfather, he was also our dear friend! We have many fine memories of Roy aboard the "Blue Heron" on the Chesapeake Bay, taking fly fishing lessons in Virginia, lunches all over Gainesville and surrounding areas, and most of all long conversations about the state of our nation and the future of our children and grandchildren. Once " Le Roy" as we fondly called him befriended you, he was your friend for life. No truer friend could anyone ask for.
