Obituary for A. Rosalind Allen

A. Rosalind Allen, 87, formerly of Manassas, passed away April 9, 2015 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Center, Winchester, VA.

Born April 7, 1928 in Sisseton, South Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Frances Sexton Cuffe. Mrs. Allen was married to Robert Thomas Allen, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Allen was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus at All Saints Catholic Church.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Mark Allen; one grandson, Thomas Erskine; and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include her five children, Kathleen Riley and her husband Robert of Front Royal; Ann Fox and her husband Dave of Bonaire, GA; Stuart Allen and his wife Janice of Middletown; Mike Allen and his wife Romy of Baltimore, MD; Tom Allen and his wife Gayle of Ocean Springs, MS; one sister, Mary Thompson of Colorado; and one brother, Frank Cuffe and his wife Josie of Richmond; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Rd. Manassas. Interment will immediately follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Highway, Manassas.

Memorial Contributions may take the form of a donation to Blue Ridge hospice, Winchester, VA.
