Condolence From: Chantal Offutt Dukette
Condolence: I can't believe I am just seeing this.
I only knew Dan briefly, but significantly when I was much younger. He was and still is one of my favorite people. The group we were a part of was so special to me, and gave me a view on life I might never had known.
Lesley, I am sorry for your loss and your family had the experience of having such a great guy in their lives.
Love to you all,
Chantal

Condolence From: Paul and Geri Thomson
Condolence: Dear Lesley and family,
Geri and I are saddened to learn of the passing of Dan.
I will miss visiting with him and your sons,Rob and Michael, on fishing trips to Chincoteague. If memory serves me correctly we would even catch a fish or two from time to time.
I also remember the good times we had when we were younger~~ much younger. These thoughts help ease the loss.
Unfortunately, we will not be at the services on Friday. We are in the Florida Keys and will not return to Virginia until mid April.
Please accept our condolences.

Condolence: Daddy, I miss yuou so much. I still can't believe you are gone. I know Grandma and Grandpa Fink were glad to finally see their baby boy. KayLeigh has written a beautiful eulogy for your service. She wrote it herself. The kids love you so much. Uncle Bo keeps telling me that you beat us home. Don't forget to tell Mom Mom, Pop Pop, Uncle Michael and Uncle Freddie we still miss them. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to go through, but I'm so glad you are no longer in pain. I will always treasure the last couple weeks of your life spending them with you and helping to take care of you. You were and are an amazing father, husband, and grandfather. I love you more than words can say. Give Spencer and Lacey a big kiss from me. Don't call Lacey a kitty cat. You know how much she hated that. Until I see you aga in . . . I love you, daddy.

I'm Standing Right Next To You

Dave, Kathleen, Shawn and Nathan

You can't see me or touch me
but I'm standing right next to you.
It's sad to see you cry for me
I wish you only knew.

I'm standing right next to you.
Even though you think I'm gone,
I've really never left your side
I've been here all along.

So please be brave and dry the tears,
don't let your grief show through.
I love you from a different place,
and I'm standing right next to you.
