On Soon Lee, 90, of Sterling, VA, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2018 at the home of her granddaughter. Ms. Lee was born on March 4, 1927 in Korea to Woo Hyun Chung and Jang Duk Choi. She married Won Jik Lee in 1952 in Korea on a boat surrounded by her friends and family. Ms. Lee loved to style hair; she was a beautician and owned a hair salon in Korea. Ms. Lee immigrated to the United States (specifically northern Virginia) in the late 1970s to provide a better life for her family and children. She enjoyed watching Korean dramas, western movies starring John Wayne, and action movies starring Chuck Norris and Jackie Chan. She also liked to dress nicely and was a trendsetter; she liked to shop for clothes, perfume, and her favorite, cigarettes. Ms. Lee also loved eating different types of food, but also really enjoyed her junk food, such as Hershey chocolate bars, Cheetos, Doritos, and Oreos. But what she really loved was when her children and grandchildren stopped by the house to hang out and talk about life and any great things happening in their lives while eating her favorite foods.

Ms. Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Woo Hyun Chung and Jang Duk Choi, and her husband of 53 years, Won Jik Lee.

Ms. Lee is survived by her sons, Hong Kui Lee (Sung Ae), of Chesapeake, VA and Sang Kui Lee (Hee Kyung) of Alexandria, VA, her daughters, Mina Yang (Sung) of Annandale, VA and Mia Mitchener (Peter) of Aldie, VA, four grandchildren, Tae (Sarah), Jennifer (Ryan), John, and Sarah, and two great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Samantha.
