Susan Louise Geris, 62, passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2018. Susan was born youngest of two children to the late Frederick and Dorothy Denning onOctober 7, 1955 in Arlington, Virginia; and was raised in Falls Church.

On April 30, 1977 she married James W. Geris, Jr. of Vienna, Virginia. Together they raised two daughters, Cristal Victoria Geris, 34, and Laura Rachelle Padilla, 31, in Manassas, Virginia.

Susan worked for Kay Jewelers for 24 years before retiring in 2012. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and daughters, taking care of the family cats, staying out of the heat, Christmas time (more so after retirement), shopping, and preparing for her first grandchild.

Susan is survived by her loving husband of 41 years James Geris; daughters Cristal Geris of Manassas, Virginia, Laura Padilla and her husband Emmanuel of Stafford, Virginia, her brother David Denning and his wife Onalou of Warrenton, Virginia, and her four cats; Joseph, Pandora, Angel, and Maya.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14th, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA 20110.

Services and Interment will be private.
