Obituary for James Romelle Kinlaw

To everything there is a season; and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born and a time to die…Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2.

A time to be born: In the fullness of time, Romelle was born Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1981 to proud parents Cherie & James Kinlaw in Orange, California.

A time to learn: Romelle attended Stoneview Elementary School and Lithonia High School, Lithonia, GA.

A time to work: Romelle was employed by the Virginia Department of Transportation as a transportation operator. He was very industrious and the co-owner of Spa Solutions.

A time to seek the Lord: On October 8, 2017 Romelle accepted the Lord as he personal savior and was seeking to know more of God and his word.

A time to die: On December 16, 2017 at 4:29 p.m. Romelle quietly transitioned from mortal to immortality among his family at the Novant Health UVA Prince William Medical Center, Manassas, VA.

Fond memories of Romelle will be cherished by his parents, Cherie and James Kinlaw; his step-mother Valerie Kinlaw; his girlfriend Amy Burton; his children Jaimy, Jocelynn and Elias Kinlaw; his sisters Cherida Shawntae Kinlaw (preceded in death), Jeneice MeChelle Kinlaw and Jasmine Lee; his brothers Joey Lee and Alan McDowell; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and his special cousin Ranardo Cobb and best friend Stewart Skinner Jr.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. A celebration of Romelle’s life will begin in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend James Hughson officiating.

Interment will immediately follow in Buckhall Cemetery, Manassas, VA.
