Condolence: Barbara and Derek and family, Denis and I are so sorry for your loss. Ernst was such a great friend to us and especially to Charlie when he played for him at Lee. The old Newington Woods gang was a great place for the kids to grow up and play. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Condolence From: Jan and Andy
Condolence: Not only was he a wonderful husband, father, opa, uncle and brother-in-law but also a very dear friend and good company, sharing our lives with him and especially the vacations allowed us to see how he lit up any room (or swimming pool) he entered and enriched the lives of all. He will be sadly missed as will his contribution to the lives of all he knew. Rest In Peace dear friend, you have earned it!

Oswald – A funny joyful man who always made me happy, I loved doing crazy things with him. Cordelia - I will always call him Uncle Ernie! xxx

Condolence From: Zoe and Matt Cloke
Condolence: Uncle Ernie, a man who always filled the room with his huge smile and contagious laughter. He gave us such fond memories from the time we’ve all spent together as family and made our lives richer by showing us his Germany. Whether meeting life-long friends, sampling the rides at legoland or catching up over a cold beer, his humour and energy made the days race by. Our hearts are so heavy for Aunty B, Derek, Lara and the boys who he treasured so much. We’ll miss him dearly, but promise to live by his example of seizing the day, knowing it is what it is and having time for family and a drink at the end of the day

Condolence From: Mave and Glenn Moore
Condolence: Not, how did he die, but how did he live? Not, what did he gain, but what did he give? These are the units to measure the worth Of a man, as a man, regardless of his birth. Nor what was his church, nor what was his creed? But had he befriended those really in need? Was he ever ready, with words of good cheer, To bring back a smile, to banish a tear? Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say, But how many are sorry he has passed away?
