Mary Teresa  Cutting
Mary Teresa (Quill) Cutting passed away on October 8, 2017 in Manassas, Virginia at the age of 78. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Robert A. Cutting. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Brian Greene, son and daughter-in-law, David and Jennifer Cutting, brother and sister-in-law John and Agnes Quill, sister-in-law and brother in-law Ken and Judy Stark, and five loving grandchildren: Ally, JT, Caroline, Erin, and Robert.

Mary was born in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Patrick and Margaret Quill. At an early age, the family moved back to the family farm in County Cork, Ireland where Mary spent her early childhood years. In high school, the family returned to Brooklyn where Mary attended McAuley Catholic High School where she graduated in 1957.

After high school, Mary moved to the Washington DC area to work for the CIA. She soon met her loving husband, Bob. Mary and Bob settled in Manassas, Virginia in 1969, where they raised their two children.
Mary spent more than 30 years as a federal employee, working for the CIA, Defense Mapping Agency, and retired from National Reconnaissance Office. Mary was an active member of the community and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church for more than 40 years. After retirement, Mary moved to Heritage Hunt in Gainesville, Virginia where she had many friends. She spent her time volunteering, traveling and helping out with her grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, October 12, 2017 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, Virginia.

A private internment will take place at Stonewall Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association at Alz.org or Catholic Charities at catholiccharitiesusa.org.
