Victor Manuel Matamala age 73 of Manassas VA died on August 22, 2017 at Fairfax Hospital.

Victor was born in New York City on November 23, 1943 to Victor Matamala and Maria Miura Matamala.
Early on he served in the U.S. Army as a truck driver. After leaving the Army he returned to New York and continued driving trucks, met and married his wife Carmen Baldrich in 1968 and eventually became a school bus driver. Victor was a talented artist and an avid fisherman.

He is preceded in death by his wife Carmen Baldrich Matamala and son John Matamala.

Victor is survived by his 2 sons, Victor (Danielle) and Michael (Amanda), 4 grandchildren, Gabriella, Angelina, Michael and Shelby, Sister- Vitalia Hodgetts, her husband William and their 2 sons William and Robert; nieces Brunilda Lugo and Christina Arana and many other relatives.

The family will receive friends on Thursday August 31, 2017 from 2:00pm – 3:00pm with a service to follow at 3:00pm in the Baker-Post Funeral Home Chapel, 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas, VA 20110. The Rev. William T. Hodgetts wil be officiating.
