Brenda Ellen Smith, 44, of Gainesville, VA, passed away on April 6, 2017 at Novant Prince William Medical Center.

She was born on January 18, 1973 to George A. Smith Sr., who survives and the late Ruth H. Smith.

Brenda worked in the Prince William School system for approximately 20 years. She taught English at the Osbourn Park High School. She loved cats, dolls and flowers.

Besides her father, Brenda is survived by her brothers, George A. Smith Jr. of Front Royal, VA and Randolph L. Smith (Ann Marie) of Front Royal, VA.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday April12, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Baker-Post Funeral Home and Cremation Center 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas, VA 20110. A service will be held in the Baker-Post Chapel on April 13, 2017 at 1:00pm with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating.

Interment will be at Stonewall Memory Gardens 12004 Lee Hwy. Manassas, VA 20109 following the service.
