Obituary for Carole Florence Barnett-Stopper
Carole Barnett-Stopper of Manassas, VA, passed away February 27, 2017.
She was born July 8, 1948, to Bruce and Kathleen (Connie) Barnett in Ypsilanti, MI.
Carole spent her life in service to others, most notably as an assistant Attorney General for the state of Michigan, and in later years as an ordained minister and spiritual advisor. She was also an avid lover and rescuer of dogs.
Carole was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, John Allen Barnett-Stopper, and is survived by her mother, Kathleen Barnett (Moore); brother, Bruce Barnett; sister, Diane Gordon; niece, Julia Orton; and stepdaughters, Alison Leonhardt (Stopper) and Jennifer Parsons (Stopper).
No formal memorial service will be held. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Moose Charities.
