Albert Lawrence  Snyder Sr.
Albert L. Snyder, Sr., age 78, died on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, in Arlington, Virginia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Irving G. Snyder and Ruth R. Snyder. Albert was the youngest of 11 children born to Irving and Ruth.

Albert is survived by his wife, Margaret M. Snyder, of 53 wonderful years, married February 10, 1965; his children, Stephanie Patterson (Lou Patterson), Melissa Hall (Chris Hall), and Albert Snyder, Jr. (Tracy Snyder). His grandchildren, Amanda Smith (Jon Smith), Christopher Patterson, Amber Hall, Shannon Hall, Cole Snyder, and Kylie Snyder.

Albert graduated high school in Traverse City, Michigan. He then served our great country in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1957-1961 and then in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1966. Following his military career, Albert was a postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until he retired after 30 years of service.

Albert lived in Haymarket, Virginia for the past 12 years with his wife and family close to him. He was an amazing family man, a loving father and proud grandfather. He lived his life every day for his family and those around him. Always bringing a smile to every conversation and eager to make new friends. He touched so many lives and his family and friends will always remember him as a hard worker, a funny and caring person.

Family will receive friends at the Baker-Post Funeral Home 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas, VA on Sunday February 19, 2017 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Todd Tennant officiating.

Burial will be private and at a later date.
