Peter DeWitt  Cumberland
Peter DeWitt Cumberland, age 63, passed on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Reston Hospital.

Born on March 9, 1953, in Arlington, Virginia, he was the son of the late John and Anna Marie Crickenberger Cumberland.

Peter met his wife, Patricia, 43 years ago and his family, marriage and work were always his priorities. His work included George Washington University, 20 years at the Washington Post, and 10 years at Emcor.

He loved being in the mountains, enjoying the beach and also loved a good baseball game with his family.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Patricia Cumberland; daughter and son-in-law, Cecilia Cumberland and David Logan; brother, Ralph Cumberland, and sisters, Nancy Cumberland and Letha Fadely.

A memorial service will take place on Monday, January 9, 2017 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia.

Interment will be private and at a later date.
