Obituary for Fredric Howard Froyd

Fredric Howard Froyd, 73, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Novant Prince William Medical Center in Manassas, Virginia.

Born on March 23, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Howard and Mildred Stiegman Froyd.

Fredric graduated Fort Wayne North Side High School and later attended Butler University. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at the White House during the Vietnam War.

He was an active part of the community as he served as Deacon for the Munson Hill Presbyterian Church in Alexandria. He later moved to Manassas and was a long time member of Manassas Presbyterian Church and coached softball for many years in the MPPPSL.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Susan Smith Froyd; his children, Diane K F Reynolds (Troy), Denise L. Hamlett (Edward), and Fredric H. Froyd, II. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Elizabeth L. Hamlett, Keeley B. Hough and Caroline R. Hamlett and a sister, Sandra Burleigh of Crofton, MD. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 7, 2017, 12:00 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 12700 Black Forest Lane, Woodbridge, VA.
