Obituary for Carole Johnson Martin

Carole Johnson  Martin
Carole Johnson Martin, 59, of Madison, formerly of Manassas, passed away November 23, 2016 at the UVA - Culpeper Regional Hospital.

Carole was born October 2nd, 1957 in Norfolk; and on January 24, 1987 in Manassas, she married John Martin, who survives.

Mrs. Martin was a 1976 graduate of Osbourn Park High School and later worked for the Manassas City Public School system as a School Security Attendant. She was also a longtime member of the Manassas Baptist Church where she served in many different capacities, but her favorite was singing in the “Praise Band”.

She was preceded in death by her birth father, Allen Eger and by her beloved niece Cheraden Johnson. Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, John Martin of Madison; her mother and father, Joseph Johnson and Mary Anna Johnson of Manassas; one daughter, Chelsea Joe Martin and her fiancé Darius Reinikovas of Richmond ; one son, Joel David Martin and his wife Janelle of Richmond; four siblings, Sonny Johnson and his wife Terri of Manassas; Terry Liesener also of Manassas; Joey Johnson and his wife Carol of Madison; Jimmy Johnson and his wife Diana also of Madison; and two grandchildren, Jude and Caleb Martin of Richmond. She also leaves her loving nieces and nephews who will all miss their Gabby.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Manassas Baptist Church - The Rock Worship Center, 8730 Sudley Road, Manassas. Funeral services will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the church with The Rev. Dr. William T. Higgins, III officiating.

Interment will be private and take place at a later date.
