Obituary for Alice Jane Kearns
Alice Jane Kearns of Manassas, VA (Yorkshire) passed away August 14, 2016 at the age of 72.
She was born on August 10, 1944, to the late Olive and Edgar Garrison and was the youngest of fourteen children.
On October 16, 1961 she married Leslie James Kearns who preceded her in death.
Alice worked for 25 years as a CNA in Manassas and Warrenton. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents and husband, Alice was also preceded in death by her daughter, Alice Elizabeth Kearns and her grandson, James Thomas (TJ) Kearns as well as 9 siblings.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy and his wife Gloria, Johnny and his wife Tammie; daughter, Shirley Ratcliff and husband Kevin, Laura Arrington and husband Mark; and four sisters, Doris Lewis, Ollie Walker, Mary Garner and Joyce Ridgeway.
She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, Jessica Ritenour, Angela Kearns, Jimmy Mullins, Cyndi Ratcliff, John Kearns, Ashley Geer, Brittany Bowen, Stephen Arrington, Kaylee Mullins, Paula Arrington, Michael Lillard, Cassandra Brown, Cody Lillard and fifteen great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating.
Interment will immediately follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas, Virginia.
