David J. Townsend passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Monday May 16th at 8:40
pm EST.

Dave was born in Niagara Falls, New York on August 16, 1965 to Louis and Sandra Townsend. He was the youngest of three sons. He proudly served in the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment from 1986 to 1988 at Arlington National Cemetery. On September 8, 2001 Dave was married to Stephanie (Wiesbrock) Townsend.
He worked as Parts Manager for Irv Seavers BMW Motorcycles in Orange, CA for ten years. Dave was a motorcycling enthusiast - on and off road. He also enjoyed astronomy, mountain biking and spoiling his dogs.
Dave is preceded in death by his oldest brother Michael Townsend, Uncle Norman Townsend and Uncle Robert Shillington. He is survived by his father Louis Townsend, mother Sandra Townsend, Brother Paul Townsend, mother-in-law Beverly Hall, and wife Stephanie Townsend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

Family will receive friends on Saturday May 21, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Baker-Post Funeral Home and Cremation Center 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas, VA 20110.A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel. Pastor James Johnson will be officiating.

Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
