Maria Quackenbush
1944-2011

Maria Quackenbush of Woodbridge, Va., departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Capital Caring Hospice Center in Arlington, Va.

She lived her legacy as a teacher, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Through her laughter, beautiful smile and zest for life, she showed kindness, love and grace every day. Not only did she touch the hearts of her family, but of her friends, fellow teachers, and students. The inspiration she gave to us all of life, compassion and her strong spirit, will be dearly missed. Her memories will continue to keep her alive through all who knew her and will always be in our hearts. Living each day to the fullest was her gift and inspiration to all who knew her.

Maria is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas, sisters; Gilda and Sonia, brothers; Guillermo and Jaime, three daughters; Maria, Sonia, Mariana, and five grandchildren; Jonathan, Christopher, Monica, Kirk and Kyle.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 12805 Valleywood Drive, Woodbridge, Virginia 22192, for our loved one, Maria Quackenbush. Maps available at www.maps.google.com.
