Obituary for Stanley Urkevich

Stanley E. Urkevich, 75, of Centreville, passed away October 11th, 2011 at his home.

Born October 31st, 1935 in Mckeesport, PA, Stanley was the son of Nicholas Urkevich and Sophie Banahasky. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and was employed by the United States Government in the Department of Defense for over fifteen years. He was also a member of the Polish National Alliance and the American Legion.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda Parker and her husband William Pugh of Haymarket, VA, Susan Urkevich and her husband Young Ho Phillip Kim of Hong Kong, Lisa Urkevich and her husband Steven Skaggs of Delaware, and Deborah Urkevich of Alexandria, VA; one brother, John Urkevich of Mckeesport, PA; two sisters, Florence West and her husband Robert of Pasadena, MD, and Evelyn Schultz of Mckeesport, PA; two grandchildren, Sabrina Skaggs and Nicola Sumi Kim; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 13th, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 14th, 2011 at 12 noon at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
