He was an avid sports fan always rooting for the Cleveland Browns to go to the Super Bowl. He loved baseball and the Yankees. He was an amazing father and grandfather who enjoyed cheering for his children and grandchildren at all their sporting events. Gene was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas. Gene is survived by Nancy, his loving wife of 49 years; son Dave and daughter-in-law Susie; and grandchildren Mathew, Megan and Cameron. He is also survived by brothers Larry, Thom and his wife Lesa; Dennis and his wife Tina; William Rees, Mike Stanar, Rich and his wife Mary Ann Toke; Jack and his wife Carol Carney; and many loving nieces and nephews. Gene was preceded in death by one son, William James Quinn; his parents Violet Willard and Leonard Quinn; step-father, George Willard; sister-in-law, Jackie Stanar; sister-in-law Patty Quinn; father-in-law Max Rees and mother-in-law, Marjorie Carney; step-father-in-law Joe Carney; Phyllis Rees and nephews George Davis and Nicholas Pertee. His family would like to thank the Fairfax Hospital Heart Transplant Staff for their many years of commitment to Gene’s health care.
